YouTube has a feature called "Premieres", which is a way for content creators of Google-owned video streaming to stream pre-recorded videos live. Thus, they can announce them in advance to their subscribers, and when the scheduled time for the "premiere" they can use the chat and interact in real time with the attendees.
Well, YouTube has announced the release of three new features for Premieres, helping content creators more strongly and enthusiastically promote their pre-recorded videos. Here are the three new features:
–Trailers : This is a preview or synopsis of a video, which summarizes some of the complete content that will be displayed when it is premiered. These trailers can be programmed to last between 15 seconds and three minutes, and will be repeated over and over again (loop type) on the waiting page of the next premiere.
These video previews can be used to announce the upcoming release to appeal to viewers or as a reminder of when content will officially start.
-Live Redirects– Works as a mechanism for content creators to present the live stream to be performed. It's like a kind of pre-show or before the official premiere of the content where they can chat with the audience.
Thus, they heat up engines and, as the time of the broadcast approaches, the chat is terminated and a countdown is given way. The audience is redirected to the premiere so that it will start officially. It's just a feature to give more encouragement, excitement and expectation to followers so they can get hooked on production.
-Countdown Themes– YouTube's Premiere feature has a timer that serves to count in a regressive way, and show the audience how long it takes to officially release the content. The new update includes the ability to customize this timer with content-linked themes. For example, you can choose a different design depending on the mood, with soft, fun, dramatic, sporty motifs... or even a design that emits vibrations on mobile to give more excitement to the premiere.
As YouTube has confirmed, both the "Live Redirect" and "Trailers" feature have already been deployed, but for now, only a group of selected creators can use them, waiting for them to be available to everyone. With regard to customizing the timer by topic, the company has announced that it will be available in the coming months.
YouTube will continue to give creators the opportunity to generate money with their premieres, a feature released in 2018 that allows, for example, the "superfans" of the channel to pay for their comments in the chat to be highlighted.
